System Requirements & Resources

- We recommend having a current (or very recent) version of your browser installed. If you’re running a very outdated version, please consider updating before logging-in.

Mobile Phones/Tablets
- All you need is a modern browser. The system is built in HTML5 so that it works natively in Apple Safari and Google Chrome, and it will work on your mobile device.

Planning & Preparing for Your Virtual Conference Experience

The ATD Virtual Conference will be very similar to an ATD live conference, minus the sore feet. There will be more than 100 hours of content, falling within 11 learning tracks, as well as opportunities to network, connect with ATD Staff, and download resources that you can view off-line. However, just like a live experience, you will maximize your experience by planning out your schedule and identifying your main goals and top priorities.

Frequently Asked Questions
I'm registered to attend. How do I sign into the platform?
If you are a registered attendee, you can sign into the platform using this link. Select “Sign In” from the navigation menu then “Connect with ATD” and use the same email and password you use at td.org. This will validate your registration and allow you access.

On Demand content will go live on Monday, June 1, at 12:01 a.m. ET and live programming begins with an orientation session on June 1 at 8 a.m. ET. All live programming will be recorded and available On Demand immediately after the session.

Our team is here to help and ensure you have the best possible experience during ATD Virtual Conference.
  • If you are having a technical issue with the platform, please use the “Help” function in the bottom left of the site to submit your issue. This will direct your question to the IT gurus who can assist through the backend of the system.
  • For nontechnical issues and other questions, please email virtualconference@td.org for assistance. We are based in the Eastern time zone, so responses may be delayed during overnight periods. We will do our best to respond as quickly as possible.
What are the different types of sessions?
Keynote Sessions: Our keynote speakers are some of the biggest names in the field. These sessions will be presented live at 9 a.m. ET daily (Monday, 6/1 – Thursday, 6/4) and at 12 p.m. ET on Friday, 6/5.
Scheduled Sessions: Sessions with a specific time indicated on the agenda will run LIVE at that time. The speakers will be available on video and will answer audience questions.
  • Global Insights: these panel discussions will address timely and relevant topics with a global or regional focus.
  • Conversations With (Live Q&A): these live sessions provide an opportunity to interact directly with these speakers and get your questions answers. All of the selected speakers have a session available in the On Demand section, and we highly recommend watching their session before participating in the live session.
  • Solution Sessions: these live sessions provide a great opportunity to explore solutions and delve deep with some of our sponsors; after the session, visit the Sponsors & ATD Resources section to learn more and schedule time to answer your questions.

On Demand Sessions: Over 100 sessions are available on-demand. These pre-recorded sessions are available to you throughout the conference to watch at your convenience. All live sessions will be recorded and available on demand after the session, too.
Will slides or handouts be available?
Yes, any speaker resources that were provided will be posted in the system. You will see links for the resources directly below the video player in each session.
Can I earn CE Credits for certification?
Yes, the ATD Virtual Conference is eligible for CE Credits for ATD, SHRM, and HRCI certification (see below for each program’s details). Participants should track their total education hours to claim the appropriate number of credits. The week of June 8, ATD will send documentation on how to claim credits to everyone who logged-in and viewed session content.
- ATD Recertification: Participants of the ATD Virtual Conference can report the number of actual hours they spent in sessions toward initial certification or recertification professional development requirements for ATD CI certifications. Use the Continuing Education Credit Hours Tracking Sheet to link specific sessions to capability areas.
- SHRM Certification: ATD Virtual Conference has been approved for 31.5 SHRM PDC’s
- HRCI Recertification: ATD Virtual Conference has been approved for 31.5 HRCI credits

How long can I view sessions?
The system will remain live through September 6, 2020. You can log-in at any time 24/7 from launch through that date to access and view On Demand and recorded sessions.

Networking Opportunities

Through our virtual platform, you will have the ability to connect with fellow attendees in many ways. On Friday, 5/29, you will receive a link to the system and you can set up your profile within the virtual platform. We recommend that you upload a photo and add as much detail as possible to your profile. You’ll also be asked to identify your interest areas, which will help match you with sessions you might like to see and with attendees who have similar interests.

Once the event launches, we have a number of different networking opportunities available for you:

  • Choose from many chat groups, centered around specific topics, that will be ongoing throughout the conference.
  • You can join the discussion within each session where you can talk with fellow attendees about the content.
  • And unique to this online event is the ability to create and participate in Roundtable conversations (think a coffee shop chat) and host one-on-one conversations.

Networking Resources

We’ve created some quick video tutorials to help you understand how to navigate the platform. We know you’re eager to see what’s ahead, and remember, these will make more sense once you are actually logged in.

Free Swag?

We know. We know. One of our favorite things is all the great goodies we pick-up at a conference to bring home. Well, virtual goodies just aren’t the same. However, we have incorporated gamification elements in the system, and we will be giving away some fantastic prizes!

How does it work?

Each action you take in the system provides you with points and badges. You earn points for watching sessions, visiting sponsor pages, participating in networking sessions, downloading session resources and more. For details on how to earn points, check out this list. The top three highest point earners as of 11:59 pm ET on Friday, June 5, 2020 will win the grand prizes.

We also have a few smaller contests that you’ll see pop-up during the week on social media. Follow #ATDVirtualConference, post accordingly, and you could win big!
